Questions, answered.
Everything about using WashlyIndia to find a shop, send a pickup request and follow an order — and where the platform's job ends and the shop's begins.
The platform
What is WashlyIndia?
WashlyIndia is a technology platform for laundry. It helps you find laundry and dry-cleaning shops near you, compare the services and prices each shop publishes, send a pickup request to a shop, and track your orders, receipts and dues in one account. The cleaning is done by independent local shops — WashlyIndia does not own or operate them.
Does WashlyIndia wash or dry-clean my clothes?
No. The shop you choose does the cleaning, on its own premises, with its own staff and process. WashlyIndia provides the software that connects you to that shop and keeps the record of the order.
Are the shops owned by WashlyIndia?
No. Every shop is an independently owned business. It is not a franchise, it trades under its own name, and it sets its own prices, service area and turnaround.
Does it cost anything to use WashlyIndia?
No. Creating an account, browsing shops, sending pickup requests and tracking orders are free for customers. You pay the shop for the laundry, at the shop's own rates, with no platform fee added.
Does WashlyIndia rate or recommend shops?
No. There is no rating or review system, and shops cannot buy placement. Browsing orders shops by distance from where you search, and each shop's published services and prices are there for you to compare.
Finding a shop
How do I find laundry shops near me?
Sign in and open the shop directory, then search from your location. The directory lists the shops whose own service radius covers that point, nearest first, with the distance to each.
Why can I see a shop but it says it doesn't deliver here?
Because you found it by name and your address falls outside the radius that shop has chosen to serve. It is shown rather than hidden so you know the shop exists, but it is under no obligation to collect from outside its area.
What if no shop covers my area?
The directory says so plainly instead of showing shops that cannot reach you. That is different from "no shops found" — it means none of the shops on the platform currently serve your address.
Can I use more than one shop?
Yes. One WashlyIndia account works across every shop you link to it, and your orders, dues and memberships stay organised per shop while remaining visible in one place.
Requests, pickup & orders
How do I place an order?
You send a pickup request rather than an order. Choose a shop, pick items and quantities from its published price list, set a pickup address and a preferred time, and send it. If the shop accepts, the request becomes a real, priced order.
Who collects my laundry?
The shop does, where it offers collection in your area, using its own staff or partners. WashlyIndia does not employ pickup or delivery staff and does not run a rider fleet.
Is my requested pickup time guaranteed?
No. It records the time you would prefer; the shop confirms what it can actually do when it accepts. Check the order after the shop has responded.
Can the shop refuse my request?
Yes. A shop can decline — it may be at capacity, out of range, or unable to take a particular fabric — and it gives a reason you can read. Declined requests stay visible with that reason, and nothing is billed.
How do I track my order?
Every order shows its current stage: received, in process, ready, partially delivered, delivered or cancelled. The shop moves it as the work happens, and you get a notification at each change.
What does "partially delivered" mean?
The shop has handed back some of the items on that order and still holds the rest. The order stays in that state until the remaining items are returned.
Pricing & payment
How is pricing decided?
Each shop sets its own rates, item by item, and publishes them on its page. Those are the rates used when you build a request. WashlyIndia does not set, cap or negotiate prices, and it takes no commission on your bill.
Is the estimate on my request the final bill?
No. The estimate is the shop's published rates multiplied by your quantities. The binding figure is the order the shop creates when it accepts, which adds anything the estimate cannot know in advance — an express surcharge, GST where the shop charges it, and any prepaid balance coming off.
How do I pay?
You settle with the shop. Each payment it records appears against the order, so the amount paid and the amount outstanding are always visible. Paying in parts is fine — the order shows as partially paid until the balance clears.
Is GST included?
Where a shop charges GST it appears as its own line on the order, calculated on the taxable amount rather than folded into the item prices. Whether GST applies, and at what rate, is set by the shop according to its own registration.
Where do I see what I still owe?
On your dues page, which gathers anything outstanding across every shop you use, so a small balance at a shop you visit rarely does not disappear from view.
What does a "settled" order mean?
The shop closed the order for less than the total and wrote off the remainder. Nothing further is owed on it, and the amount forgiven is recorded on the order.
Prepaid packs
Is a membership valid at every shop?
No. Prepaid packs are sold by individual shops and the balance can only be spent at the shop that sold it. Using two shops regularly means two separate packs if you want the value at both.
What does a pack actually give me?
A balance of that shop's services larger than the advance you paid — for example paying ₹3,000 for ₹5,000 of service value. The shop deducts from the balance as it bills each order, and every deduction is listed with the order that used it.
What happens to unused value?
It expires at the end of the validity window the shop set. Unused value is not refunded or carried forward, so check the days remaining on your membership page.
Does a pack come with priority or faster service?
Not from the platform. A pack is a payment arrangement, not a service tier. Any extra a shop chooses to offer alongside it is that shop's own decision.
Your account
Do I need a separate account for each shop?
No. A single WashlyIndia account spans every shop. Linking a shop gives that shop your name, phone and the orders you place with it — and nothing about the other shops you use.
Can I change my name, phone or addresses?
Yes. Your name and phone are editable in your profile, and the address book lets you add, edit and delete addresses with exactly one marked default, which is preselected when you request a pickup. Your email is the sign-in address and cannot be changed from the app.
I forgot my password — what now?
Use the "Forgot password?" link on the sign-in screen. You will be emailed a secure link to choose a new one.
Can I install WashlyIndia as an app?
Yes. The customer site can be installed to your home screen from your browser, and there is a native app as well. Both use the same account and the same data.
Who do I contact if something is wrong?
The shop, for anything about the cleaning, the collection, the price or the turnaround — its number is on its page. WashlyIndia, at support@washlyindia.in, for anything about the app, your account, sign-in, notifications or something the platform is showing incorrectly.
Didn't find your answer?
For anything about a specific order, the shop is fastest — its number is on its page. For anything about the platform or your account, we're here.
