From finding a shop to tracking your order.
WashlyIndia carries the request, the price list and the status between you and the shop. The shop decides what it can take, sets the price, collects where it offers pickup, and does the cleaning.
Six steps, and who handles each
Three of them are yours, three are the shop's. Nothing is billed until the shop accepts.
- Step 1You
Find shops that cover your address
Search the directory from your location. Each shop sets its own service radius, so browsing shows the shops that actually reach you, nearest first, with the distance to each.
- Step 2You
Compare what each shop offers
Open a shop to see the services it takes and its price for every item under them. Compare two shops on the same item before you decide.
- Step 3You
Send a pickup request
Choose items and quantities from the shop's own list, pick a pickup address from your address book, say roughly when suits you, flag it express if you need it fast, and add any notes.
- Step 4The shop
The shop accepts or declines
It sees your request with the items already priced at its current rates. Accepting turns it into a real, priced order; declining comes with a reason you can read.
- Step 5The shop
The shop collects and cleans
Where the shop offers collection in your area it arranges the pickup itself, then sorts, cleans and finishes the items with its own staff and process.
- Step 6You
Track it through to delivery
The shop moves the order through its stages and you see each change, along with the itemised bill, any payment recorded and anything still outstanding.
Three things worth knowing
They are the points people most often assume work differently.
Pickup depends on the shop
Collection is arranged by the shop, in the area it has chosen to serve. WashlyIndia does not run a delivery fleet or employ riders.
Your time is a preference
A request records when you would like the pickup. The shop confirms what it can actually do when it accepts — treat it as a preference, not a booking.
The estimate is not the bill
The running total on a request is built from the shop's published rates. The binding figure is the order the shop creates, which adds any surcharge and GST it applies.
Anything about the cleaning, the collection, the price or the turnaround is the shop's — its number is on its page. Anything about the app or your account is ours, at support@washlyindia.in.
Know where your order stands.
The shop updates the order as the work happens, and you see each change without phoning to ask. Alongside the status you get the itemised bill, every payment the shop has recorded and anything still outstanding — across all the shops you use.

Questions about the process
Requests, acceptance, collection and tracking — who handles what at each point.
Do I need an account to send a pickup request?
Yes. A free WashlyIndia account is what links you to a shop, holds your address book and keeps your orders, receipts and dues together. Creating one takes about a minute and costs nothing.
Who actually collects my laundry?
The shop you sent the request to, using its own staff or partners, and only where that shop offers collection in your area. WashlyIndia does not employ pickup or delivery staff.
What happens if the shop declines my request?
The request stays visible to you with the shop's reason attached — it might be at capacity, out of range that week, or unable to take a particular fabric. Nothing is billed, and you can send the request to a different shop.
Can I change or cancel a request after sending it?
You can cancel a request while it is still pending. Once the shop has accepted it, it is a real order and any change is a conversation with the shop, which by then may already have collected the items.
How long does an order take?
That is the shop's call and it varies by service — everyday laundry is usually faster than dry cleaning or speciality work. Many shops offer an express option at a surcharge they set. Ask the shop, or flag the request as express and let it confirm.
What do the order statuses mean?
"Received" means the shop has your items; "in process" means cleaning is under way; "ready" means it is finished and waiting to go back; "partially delivered" means some items have been returned and more remain; "delivered" means everything is back. "Cancelled" means the order was called off.
How do I pay?
You settle with the shop, which records each payment against your order — so the amount paid and the amount outstanding are always on the order. Paying in parts is fine: each receipt appears in turn and the order shows as partially paid until the balance clears.
